When I started my trading career, I was attracted towards Gann’s methods. Especially his prediction about when a stock will reach high, low or give break out etc. “Timing” the movement of stock was his speciality. He was not born rich, but he made good money with his trading knowledge. It was an inspiration to me that gave me hope that ordinary person can make big money in share market.

What are the reasons for his success?

Observation skills

Research oriented mind

Good mathematical knowledge

Astrological knowledge

Ambitious sharp brain

These skills made him world famous trader.

Gann level trading was the most common followed method. Gann Angle trading and timing the market were followed by few traders.

Do we all need these knowledge to trade well?

Not necessary. If you know support/resistance concept very well, then you can find trading levels easily. You can “time” the market movement if you are very good in price action. These concepts are simple and everybody can learn.
